TIPOF120
Desk lamp
A low table lamp that borrows the face of a late-’80s supercar. Two rounded windows, one amber and one red, sit inside a bright metal frame like a headlamp cluster.
The story
The Ferrari F40, my object of dreams.
Some objects you want so long that wanting them becomes part of who you are. For me it’s the F40.
TIPOF120 is an act of translation: taking the thing out of reach and keeping the part I loved most. I kept the headlamps glowing behind clear covers, the amber beside the white, and the mix of polished metal and raw structure under the red skin. I couldn’t own the car, so I made the piece of it I could live with.
