Mira Mar Outdoor Set

Each MIRA MAR piece is a simple cylinder. Cord runs vertically around an aluminum , close enough to read as a solid, softly ribbed surface but open enough to let light and air through. The tops are round panels of teak slats, and they lift off to reveal storage inside, with a slatted teak floor at the base. The gaps between the slats and the cords mean rain drains straight through and anything stored inside can dry in the breeze.

The name comes from mira mar, “look at the sea.” The set is designed for the place where people sit to do exactly that: terraces, pool edges, gardens facing open water. The form draws on woven vessels and baskets, scaled up into furniture that can hold things and still be sat on, eaten at, and left outside. The olive cord is meant to sit quietly among plants rather than stand out from them, and the teak will weather to silver alongside the stone and the trees.
